This horrible tragedy took place less then 5 minutes from my house. The blast was so incredibly powerful, multiple homes in my neighborhood and surrounding streets, suffered various degrees of damage. Luckily, my house was one of the few that were left unscathed. The impact of the blast was so strong, I thought we were having an Earthquake. A very dear friend of mine who was working at the site has not been heard from or accounted for, as well as many other workers. A very VERY sad and tragic day for the residents of Middletown CT.
