It is with sincere regret that I have to inform everyone that Clive Barker is unable to attend Monster-Mania Con 22 due to illness. I had hoped that he might be able to attend one day of the show but I've just spoken to his booking agent who has explained to me that sadly Clive is just not healthy enough to make the trip to the show.
Personally I'd like to thank everyone for your patience and understanding and kindness in this matter so far. As promised I am willing to issue refunds for anyone that no longer wishes to attend the show. We still feel that we have a tremendous guest list
and we are still going forward with all of the events planned for the show and hope to see everyone at the show. We will also be collecting Get Well cards to forward to Clive after the show.
For all of the fans who purchased a Clive Barker VIP ticket, we will be offering a few different options that will still include the VIP Party, official con tee shirt, Early Bird Weekend admission, Reserved seating in the Main Event Room and Free Autographs. We will also be offering a full refund and also the ability to switch to a Carl Weathers or Asia Argento VIP package. I will begin emailing the options to the Clive Barker VIP ticket holders after making this post.
Very sincerely sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I wanted to be as honest and open with everyone. As a Clive Barker fan myself it saddens me to have to make this announcement. The Monster-Mania fans have supported us tremendously over the past 9 years and I could never express in words just how much you mean to us and we would never, ever take advantage of the faith you have in us. Please keep Clive in your prayers and hopefully we will see him at a future Monster-Mania Con.
