Rob Zombie Live in Philly 12/4/2009

Since I havent seen any review worthy films in awhile. I figured i'd give the recent Zombie concert a quick review. He's horror related enough, I guess.

This was my 5th time seeing him live. I was happy to get tix because they sold out pretty fast. The previous 4 concerts I saw where really good. Though Zombie does get winded once and awhile and skips lyircs/verses. But at least he doesnt lip synch.

In my opinion this is Lieberman's masterpiece and the best deformed mutant film ever. The kills are first rate, the story is so simple and the camera work is quite effective. In my book this may be one of the most influential films to come out of the 80's.

Oh if there is anyone who likes the Wrong Turn series and has not seen this.... do yourself a favor and rent it. You'll be disgusted at how much Wrong Turn lifted...

I was soooooo excited to see this film due to the fact of it involving the mysterious Sweet Hollow Road in Long Island (where i am from). well , i just watched it and i was very very very dissapointed. You know a movie is bad when it drags and it clocks in at 84 minutes. It does have its gore , rape , T&A , and teenage drinking but the characthers are all forgettable. Danielle Harris needs to act her age and stop hanging with tweens . Bill Moseley was great but his brief scenes still...

Yes, I am corny and this movie rocked my world more then Brett Michaels ever could.
It was so stupid, it was funny!
Freddy with a tooth brush on his glove, Chucky mooning people in cars, Lesile Neilsen, sick twisted jokes. What the hell more would you want from a comedy!

This was my favorite film in the brilliant wave of new French horror. It elevates the new trend of horror by keeping the story simple and the violence believable.

This is a great movie for anyone who misses the 80's slasher films but want something more to the plot. It had a good back story that would interest you right away, good flow to the movie once is gets going then a ruthless end. Hope someone else out the watched it. Anyone?

I saw this in the store the other day, for some reason I think i remembered seeing someone post the trailer for it a while back so I picked it up... Now i don't know what i expected from this, or why i expected anything at all... but I did, and I feel like it truely fialed me on almost every level possible, the characters were nothing to write home about, the death sceens were mostley lame, the fight sequences weren't anything special either... I'm curious to know what anyone...

I just got in from seeing this (in very limited release right now) and let me say that if you were at all a fan of the original you HAVE to see this. I was worried that Duffy would ruin the original by trying to make a sequel but when he said he made it for the fans he wasn't kidding. The movie was just awesome and the ending was perfect. I suspect there will be a third film and I cannot wait. This was everything I had hoped for and then some which says a lot since the original is one...

well what did you think. I enjoyed the twists and liked some of what was revealed by this film. I think it was worth it, it didnt make me want the franchise to be over like part five, but in the same token, i really hope part seven ends it

Well i can see why it took years for this to come out. Visually it looked amazing, but lacked major substance. Played out more like a Spike Jonze music video. Also this really isnt a kids movie at all.

This is a great one. I loved everything about it. The effects were a little primitive but that is the beauty of this film. I thought this was a great story, it had a fantastic back story in it, and the deaths in this film are graphic and awesome. Tell me what you guys thought of it.

Wrong Turn 3

I was able to catch this last night and in all honesty, it wasn't that bad, despite it being a screener copy. The kills and gore were by far the best here than in the previous entries. Since it's not officially out yet, I don't want to give too much away. If your a fan of the others than you might like this one too. Oh and keep an eye out during the first 10 or so minutes.....there's a neat little reference to the earlier movies

I have to start out by saying that I am a sucker for anthologies. With that said, Asylum was such amazing fun! Every aspect of the film was solid. The stories themselves were well directed, well acted and genuinely creepy. Normally this would be enough for me but I was also really intrigued by the main story that tied everything together.

I watched Trick R Treat, and was actually very bored. The story was very hard to follow, and the script was loaded with plot holes that didn't make sense at all. I felt like 20 minutes of film were scrambled up, and put into a movie.It kept jumping from past, to present. I liked the Halloween feel to the movie, and the scenic Halloween shots, but doubt I will ever watch it again. I can now see why this film was sitting on a shelf for 2 years. It should have stayed there.
